ATX Expands Breadth of Services and Depth of Expertise by Acquiring RHA Banking

BIDDEFORD, MAINE – June 26, 2024 –ATX Advisory Services, a leading provider of technology consulting services, today announced the firm has acquired RHA Banking, a financial technology services company founded in 2002. Along with the acquisition, ATX has retained the owner and CEO of RHA Banking, Denise Butler. Butler will fill the role of Principal Consultant at ATX, focused on financial services.

“This acquisition represents another step in our evolution to increase expertise in the financial services market,” says Mark DiGiovanni, Managing Partner and co-founder of ATX. “We are already a preeminent provider of technical advisory and business intelligence services for CDFIs (Community Development Financial Institutions). “With Denise’s past experiences as a bank CIO, we can now advise CDFIs and other mission-based lenders at the same level of IT sophistication deployed by banks. She understands the challenges all financial institutions face when scaling their operations, particularly surrounding core banking platforms, cybersecurity, and compliance.”

Butler, a former UnitiEast ITI User Group chairperson, brings 25+ years as a technology management expert to ATX with a focus on unifying teams among the technology, marketing, and core business functions at financial services organizations. Her extensive experiences include leading IT projects with business analyst expertise that spans Fiserv Premier systems, functional requirements, analytics, business workflows, CRM, and robotic process automation (RPA) systems. Additional capabilities RHA Banking can offer to ATX clients include data cleansing, data optimization, IT risk management, report automation, and business continuity planning.

With this acquisition by ATX, the 300+ RHA Banking clients will not notice any differences. “I’m excited about the access those clients will gain to additional expertise in areas such as data analytics, enterprise technology, and application integrations,” Butler emphasizes. “At the same time, they can collaborate with ATX just as they did with RHA Banking and continue to receive the same services.”

DiGiovanni points out that adding Butler to the ATX team allows the firm to expand its market within the financial services sector—to also include community banks, credit unions, minority depository institutions (MDI), green banks, and other mission-based lenders. This includes institutions that focus on serving climate, social, community, and environmental impact.

“Along with our organic growth, the RHA Banking acquisition strengthens our position to help mission-based lenders more effectively utilize their technology platforms to process data while expanding our portfolio to include depository institutions,” adds DiGiovanni. “We offer depth in expertise across all aspects of the financial services industry—including origination, underwriting, loan servicing, deposits, portfolio analysis, financial accounting, and external reporting.”
