Database/BI Developer Co-op

This role is open to students currently enrolled at The Roux Institute at Northeastern University.

ATX, located in Biddeford ME, provides technology consulting services to high-growth businesses throughout the US. Our services include technology strategy, software selection, software implementation, business process improvement, business intelligence, system integrations, and executive dashboards and reporting. Our clients include professional and financial services firms, non-profits, manufacturing, construction, and life science & technology companies.

We have a six-month co-op opportunity, from July – December 2025, for a Database/Business Intelligence Developer to work within our Data & Analytics practice. This position will report to the Director of Technical Services, and the candidate should expect to work directly with the firm’s leadership throughout the co-op.

Candidates should have a college degree in computer science, engineering, technology, or business analytics. Prior experience with dashboard development and database technologies is required for this position. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of Business Intelligence development experience and working knowledge of SQL. Tableau or Power BI experience is strongly desired.

Candidates must be comfortable in an entrepreneurial setting working on multiple projects simultaneously. Highly motivated individuals who see themselves as independent thinkers and problem solvers with a thirst for learning will succeed at ATX. A strong attention to detail with the ability to understand the big picture is required.

Candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks supporting both our clients and internal operations. Assigned tasks will be based on the candidate’s skill sets but may include:

  • Development of business intelligence solutions including client dashboards, visualizations, metrics, and reports
  • SQL view development using cloud-based databases such as Azure SQL
  • Data cleansing and analysis
  • Gather business requirements from end-users and design solutions to address needs
  • Data validation and QA client facing solutions
  • The preparation, review, and editing of client deliverables using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Other data related tasks as assigned

This position is located in Biddeford, ME and resources are expected to be local to the office and available to meet in person and work in the office up to four days per week. This position will require 40 hours per week and may require partial week travel to client sites located across the United States.
